Kerala Culinary Luxury Tour

Arrive Mumbai
On arrival in Mumbai the guest are met at the arrival hall of the International airport and are transferred to their selected hotel for the overnight stay.

In Mumbai
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning start the sightseeing of World Famous Elephanta Caves.

Elephanta Caves: A must for any visitor to India. Mute testimony of the Golden Age in Indian history during the Gupta period and built to honour Lord Shiva. Elephanta is a 3 kms long elongated island, consisting of two hills separated by a valley. The caves with rock-cut figures and carvings are believed to be carved by the sculptors of Ajanta or Udayagiri. In the afternoon the guest enjoy the sightseeing tour of the Mumbai City:

Mumbai City : includes a visit the Gateway of India-erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911; Prince of Wales Museum, Jehangir Art Gallery, Marine Drive, Chowpatty beach, Hanging Gardens and the Crawford Market.
After the sightseeing of the city the guest return back to their hotel for the overnight stay.

Mumbai- Cochin (Flight) Cochin – Kumarakom By Road (Approx 100 Kms- 04 Hours)
Arrive Cochin and transfer to Coconut Lagoon. Sunset cruise will be on a Rice Boat.
Overnight will be at COCONUT LAGOON.

In Kumarakom
After breakfast short cruise to "Philip Kutty's Farm" (A small home stead on an island).

See the cultivation of various tropical fruits and vegetables and also a short demo of simple home cooking.

Return to Coconut Lagoon for a talk on backwater food and cooking with a demo followed by lunch.

Afternoon will be at leisure. A cultural show will be held in the evening followed by Dinner.

Overnight will be in Kumarakom.

In Kumarakom
After Breakfast proceed for a demonstration of preparation of a "Sadhya" (vegetarian wedding feast)

Lunch would be sadhya - food served on banana leaf (to be eaten by hand).

Afternoon will be at leisure and proceed for a cultural show in the evening followed by dinner.

Overnight will be in Kumarakom.

Kumarakom – Thekkady By Road (Approx 128 Kms / 04 Hours)
After Breakfast proceed to Periyar. Check in at Spice Village followed by lunch.

Proceed for a boat safari in Lake Periyar.

Dinner will be at the resort and spend night at SPICE VILLAGE.

Thekkady
After Breakfast visit a Spice Plantation and Tea Plantation. Lunch will be at leisure in the resort and in the late afternoon proceed for a cooking demonstration. The theme will be cooking with spices.

Dinner will be at the resort and overnight at SPICE VILLAGE in Periyar.

Thekkady
Proceed early in the morning for a tour of Spice Village to identify various spice plants growing in the village.

Proceed for cookery demo after breakfast.

Lunch will be at the resort. Proceed to KUMILY MARKET for a walking tour of the shops selling different types of spices.

Dinner and overnight will be at Spice Village.

Thekkady – Cochin By Road (Approx 200 Kms / 04 Hours)
After Breakfast proceed to Cochin. Stop at the plantation Bungalow for a typical home lunch. Reach and check in at hotel CASINO. Dinner & overnight will be at Cochin.

In Cochin
After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Cochin including the ancient Spice Market at Mattancherry and Chinese Fishing Nets.

Proceed to Brunton Boatyard for a "History" lunch. Return to Casino. In the evening proceed for a Kathakali performance followed by dinner.

Overnight will be in Cochin.

In Cochin
Breakfast will be at hotel.

Half-day hands -on experience with Hotel Chef on various Kerala Food. Afternoon will be at leisure. Enjoy the sunset cruise at the harbor. A Farewell Dinner will be organized for you.

Overnight will be at Cochin.

Cochin – Mumbai (Flight)
Mumbai - Overseas (Flight)
Breakfast will be at hotel. Transfer to airport for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival in Mumbai you will be received at the domestic airport and would be provided departure transfer to International airport to connect your flight back home.
